In the society of democratic consent and ethical conventionalism, the epistemological dimension that underlies the bioethical issues is a certain conception "contracts" of reality and of the science. Thus, issues such as those related to the embryo, sexuality, the criteria for determination of death, are resolved by the same scientists, not based on scientific evidence and denials, but through an agreement, often behind the pressing socio-political demands. Is it acceptable and rational such an epistemology? Is it conceivable a bioethics based on similar (anti)scientific practice?
