This paper explores the phenomenon of enhancement especially in the field of healthcare. It discerns the stakes in general terms before examining some ethical and theological issues. It thus discusses the notions of normality and efficiency, the strong and vulnerable body, and critically examines the humanistic versus humanizing perspectives of technologies involved in enhancement, showing as it does, how creation but also the notion of salvation and hubris can help to evaluate practices.
