Una costante evoluzione culturale, maturata nell'ambito della psichiatria italiana a partire dalla corrente fenomenologica e arricchita dal diffondersi di concezioni psicodinamiche e della psicoanalisi, ha reso possibile un incontro più intenso con i pazienti e una gestione nuova della sofferenza psichica.
